The New York Stock Exchange announced that the trading halt in the common stock of Florida Rock Industries, Inc. – ticker symbol FRK – will continue pending the disclosure of the final results of the cash and stock election pursuant to the merger with Vulcan Materials Company – ticker symbol VMC. Vulcan has advised the NYSE that an election has been received relating to substantially all of Florida Rock’s outstanding shares. The Form of Election expired at the close of business November 14, 2007 . The notice of guaranteed delivery is expected to expire on November 19, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
